In chapter 8 Sweeney finds that safety is a relative term.

In chapter 7, Sweeney Todd runs into difficulties as he tries to sell the string of pearls.

Chapter 6 – The Conference, and the Fearful Narration in the Gardens is now ready to listen to.

In this chapter, Johanna, and ourselves as well, get to hear of what has happened to Mark Ingestre in the time since he left Johanna.

After a couple months away from recording, I finally made it back.

In this chapter, Johanna is contacted and eagerly goes to a rendezvous where she hopes to find out what has happened to her true love. We are also introduced to some Ecclesiastical comic relief.

Chapter 6 has been recorded and will be uploaded as soon as I get it edited.

Chapter 4 – THE PIE-SHOP IN BELL YARD is finally online.

We now get to meet the lovely Mrs. Lovett and taste, if only vicariously, her wonderful pies.

Here is Chapter Two of String of Pearls. The String of Pearls: A Romance was published in eighteen weekly parts, in Edward Lloyd’s The People’s Periodical and Family Library, issues 7-24, 21 November 1846 to 20 March 1847. It was probably written by James Malcolm Rymer, though Thomas Peckett Prest has also been credited with it.
